The day had been full of adventure and exploring. The pair had fought beast, swam rivers, and eaten the bounty of the jungle. The shared laughter and talked much but now the night was falling and peace filled the night as the insects buzzed. The cooked a hardy dinner and enjoyed the meal.

"I am glad Mom asked you to come." Noah said.

"I am too. I cannot think of anything else I would rather be doing." Red replied with a smile.

Noah sat next to Red and leaned against her. The warrior smiled softly. She had never felt a soul that she was more comfortable with. She was a bit surprised at how quickly she jumped at the chance to take Noah into the jungle when Cath asked her. Cath had been training Noah but wanted him to expand beyond her own style of fighting and traking. She could think of no one else that would be better.

"Red can I tell you something?"

"You can always tell me anything Noah."

The boy was silent for quite some time but Red did not force him. She know he would speak when he was ready. He finally took a deep breath and let it out.

"Red, I really like you." He said boldly.

Red glanced at the blushing young man.

"Noah are you confessing to me?" Red said seriously.

Noah nodded.

"Yes I am." He said. "I felt thi way ever since I saw you."

Red felt a warmth in her chest that she rarely felt. Noah was telling her he loved her. She realized that she felt the same.

"I like you too Noah." Red said.

"Really!"

"Really." Red said with a smile.

They oth sat in silents enjoying the night and the glow of new love.

"He is young." Red thought. "But I can wait."

Noah's 1st stirrings of young adulthood / manhood. Inspired by Red. Interesting !! Even though he's still just a tad YOUNG for her..... but what the heck. :) If anyone tried to hurt Noah, they'd be in the next TIME ZONE !!

The love is felt by both. Noah is young but has a old soul like Red. They will take their time, Red can wait until Noah is a man. But do you think Noah should kiss Red?

Maybe the 2 of them should embrace, cuddle a little, with a chaste kiss as an appetizer. :) Does Noah's species reach adulthood rapidly ? A feline - humanoid species might develop like house cats do.Noah could mature rather quickly.

If anything Noah would be a little longer in reaching manhood. But when he does her with be a handsome powerhouse, just the man Red needs.

Much like Red as a child. They have much in common though that Noah has a lovely mother while Red was enslaved so early she never remembers her birth family.

A close - knit couple. & Red could even be like a " big sister " / " surrogate mother " to the young Noah, although I'm SURE he doesn't regard her as either !!
